Mindo is situated in the Western Cordillera, well known as Cordillera del Chocó, famous for its biodiversity.
There are between 1.200 and 1.500 species of plants per square kilometre.
Our guides will show you and explain the different types of flowers. We will guarantee you will feel a unique experience with nature whilst hiking through different trails.
And if you are a bird lover, Mindo is a worldwide well known paradise since it has around 500 species; a third of the bird species in all Ecuador.
Amongst the most seen animals, are the famous Gallo de Peña, birds:”tangaras, trogons”, toucans and hummingbirds.
Mindo has a large variety of butterflies and you will see them from caterpillars to adults and admire their colours.
After a healthy hike through flowered trails, we will reach the waterfalls in their natural environment in the middle of the forest, where you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing bathe.
